Preparing for a domestic deep clean

Agree the scope first

List the rooms and tasks you want included. Flag heavy buildup, limescale, pets, delicate finishes or areas needing special treatment. Discuss inside appliances and cupboards separately; a deep clean is not automatically every possible task in a property.

Agree hours and total before booking

Initial deep clean £25 per hour, then fortnightly maintenance £20 per hour. Products and equipment are supplied. All cleaners are DBS checked and Thorntons Property Care is fully insured. We agree the estimated hours, cleaning scope and total before booking. A standalone deep clean is also available at £25 per hour. Ask how many cleaners are expected and the likely arrival window. If the condition differs from the original description, agree any revised price or scope before additional work goes ahead.

Make the property accessible

Confirm keys or entry arrangements and parking. Clear loose items from surfaces you want cleaned where practical. Explain pets, alarms, locked rooms and any fragile objects. Never send alarm codes or sensitive access details through public reviews or comments.

Agree the follow-up

A one-off clean does not require a repeat booking. If you want fortnightly maintenance, confirm the next visit, tasks and price separately. Regular upkeep is not necessarily the same scope as the first deep clean.
